📄 Description

What do you notice first when a child is struggling?

Most adults get plenty of practice spotting what needs correcting. What You’re Already Getting Right gives you five days to practice noticing what is already working with the same attention.

This Cultural SEL challenge helps adults pay closer attention to the strengths children show through everyday moments, including the moments that may first look like distraction, messiness, inconsistency, or something too quiet to notice.

Each day focuses on one area:

Day 1: Curiosity Day 2: Kindness and Connection Day 3: Creativity and Problem-Solving Day 4: Adaptability and Persistence Day 5: Pride and Identity

You will observe one real moment, reflect on what you saw, and try one small practice the following day. Five minutes a day is enough.

This is not about pretending hard things are not hard or overlooking areas where children need support. It is practice in noticing strengths that can disappear when adults are only scanning for problems.
