Before assigning consequences, pause and interpret.

The Cultural Behavior Interpretation Tool GPT is a specialized AI tool designed to help educators examine student behavior through a culturally responsive and trauma-informed SEL framework.

Instead of reacting to surface-level behaviors, this GPT helps you separate observable facts from adult assumptions, examine cultural context, identify possible stress responses, and determine regulated, restorative next steps.

This is not about excusing behavior. It’s about understanding it before responding.

💡 What Is a Custom GPT?

A custom GPT is a purpose-built version of ChatGPT designed for one focused function.

Unlike regular ChatGPT, which generates broad, general responses, this GPT:

Separates observable behavior from interpretation
Prompts reflection on cultural context
Screens for stress or trauma responses
Suggests restorative, regulated next steps
Aligns responses with culturally responsive and trauma-informed SEL

It follows a structured decision-making lens instead of producing generic advice.

And yes — it works with a FREE ChatGPT account. No paid subscription required.
