🌍 A child’s language world is bigger than the languages they speak.

A child may understand a language they rarely use. They may hear one language with family and another at school. They may know words connected to people they love, change how they communicate in different places, or want to learn a language that connects them to their family story.

My Language World gives children space to show what language looks and feels like in their lives.

Children can write, draw, check boxes, or leave something blank. There are no scores and no right answers. The resource helps children share their own language experiences while giving the adults supporting them more to notice and think about.

🌎 What Children Will Make Sense Of

Children are invited to think about:

Languages they speak, understand, hear, recognize, or are learning
Where different languages show up in their lives
People they connect with through particular languages
Words connected to family, memories, laughter, and people they love
Feelings that can come up around language
What happens when words are difficult or unfamiliar
How they communicate at home, school, and in other places
Languages connected to family and identity
Languages they would like to know better My Language World_20260929_1833…
